SpeedFloor Secures a Spot on the 2027 FreightTech100
Mark RandallSpeedFloor has been named to FreightWaves' 2027 FreightTech100. The award recognizes the 100 most innovative companies in freight and supply chain technology. It's a major milestone for automated trailer loading technology.
A Competitive Year for Freight Technology
This year's FreightTech100 was the most competitive yet. Moreover, the award now marks its eighth year. Additionally, it drew a record number of nominations. Furthermore, more than half of this year's companies are new to the list. That shows how fast freight technology, such as SpeedFloor, is evolving.
FreightWaves' Research team reviews every nomination. Companies are judged on documented innovation and market impact. Reviewers also look at how each company's ideas have grown since last year. SpeedFloor now stands alongside major carriers, brokers, and technology providers shaping the future of freight.
Why SpeedFloor Made the List
SpeedFloor replaces slow, manual dock work with a powered floor system. It turns any trailer into a push-button conveyor. Operators load and unload freight without climbing into the trailer. The system works for bulk material, palletized cargo, and refrigerated freight.
Typical load times drop from nearly an hour to just a few minutes. Dock labor costs fall. Injuries drop, too. Trailer dwell time shrinks. This recognition confirms that SpeedFloor's automated loading technology is changing how freight moves.
What's Next for the FreightTech100
The FreightTech100 list is only the first step.
Additionally, an independent panel of more than 80 industry executives will rank all 100 companies (SpeedFloor).
Their rankings determine the FreightTech25, the top 25 companies in freight technology.
This year brings a new format, too. FreightWaves will celebrate the FreightTech100 in person for the first time. The inaugural F3 Awards Dinner takes place Monday, October 26, in Chattanooga. The FreightTech25 and the 2027 Shipper of Choice Awards will be revealed live that night.
